October 14, 2000 ~ Saturday Evening

Wow, today was a busy day!  I've done three loads of laundry, grocery shopping, babysat Caitlin for the afternoon, organized my filing, and I'm sure there must be more but I can't think of it.  And it's really frustrating to NOT be able to sleep in on a Saturday morning.  I mean, I could have if I wanted to, but I wasn't tired anymore so I got up at 7:00.  Which is the same time I get up every other morning.  Now watch, tomorrow because I know I HAVE to get up early for church, I'll want to sleep in late.

Caitlin is very cute and smart.  She cracks me up.  She kept calling Nana "Banana" because maybe she just thought that when we said Nana we meant to say Banana.  It was really funny.  And she just amazes me.  She was playing with a toy phone and this is what she said, "Hi Debbie... it's me, Caitlin... I right here... oh, you have to go work, oh okay... I talk to you later... bye."  She's so funny.

Last night Dwayne and I went to Walmart to buy him a new chainsaw.  We must have been there for a half an hour while Dwayne compared all TWO of the ones they had for sale.  And they were even the same brand which should have been even easier to narrow it down for his final choice.  But I know how men are when it comes to their toys... errrr, I mean, tools.  He's worse than I am when I go buy a new pocketbook!

Which by the way, I feel I need to start the great pocketbook search again.  Last weekend I had bought a backback/pocketbook combination thing.  It was really cool.  But after spending about 45 minutes transferring all my stuff from my old pocketbook to the new backback/pocketbook combination thing, I decided I didn't like it after all.  So I proceeded to dig out the box that holds all my old pocketbooks and I found one I could use temporarily.  I don't like this one either.  I need the perfect one.  Not too big, not too small... there is an absolute art to choosing the right one.

Oh, you will all be happy to know that I have resumed using my Downy Ball while doing laundry.  I do all the laundry now since the washer and dryer are right outside my bedroom door.  My clothes smell Downy fresh once again.  You gotta love the smell of Downy!
